COLLISION COURSE

Battle of Rome II: Fully Loaded Poster

Saturday April 21st at The Forum in Rome GA, come witness myself and future opponent Raphael Assuncao on a collision course as we take on step closer to our fight on the following card.

Look for fireworks as both myself and challenger Raphael will be vying to make a statement to the other fighter, not only in fight performance but in crowd applause and fan base as well. After all that is what our fight is all about, one's jealousy of the other's fan base, attention, and purse money.

I ask all my fans and friends to come show support and enjoy a great night of fights. Tickets and venue information available at www.forumevents.org, www.thefightparty.com, or at my gym, X3 Sports. A complimentary DVD is provided with each ticket purchase at X3 Sports.

Kevin Gittemeier vs. Raphael Assuncao

After a year of speculation, interest and talk behind the scenes, the fight between former friends and training partners Kevin Gittemeier (11-1) and challenger Raphael Assuncao (10-1) has been agreed to and will take place in May.

Both fighters are putting a lot on the line and this fight is a huge stepping stone for each. The winner of this fight will not only establish himself as one of the premier fighters in the nation, he will gain the national attention and credibility needed for T.V., PPV, and bigger money opportunities.

More money has been allocated to this MMA fight than any previously in GA and it’s expected to be the largest draw and most anticipated fight to date.

Kevin will be taking a fight in April to further promote this fight. More details to come soon.

In an action packed night of fights Kevin defeated Joe Cronin in the main event.

Joe brought out his A game and put a lot of pressure on Kevin, bloodying him early in the stand up exchanges and catching him in a tight choke nearly finishing him in the first round.

After absorbing a hard knee to the ribs that put him down Kevin kept his composure, gained position and administered some punishing elbows and knees from side mount to finish the second round.

Kevin Gittemeier hitting Joe CroninIn the third round it became brutal.  Kevin ran an absolute elbow and knee clinic from side mount devastating his opponent and opening several cuts on Joe’s face.  Joe never quit and kept working for position despite the punishment he was taking and really showed his experience.

Kevin won a unanimous decision while Joe earned an invite back to fight with his impressive performance and great show of heart.
